Mythical Faun Card- Using Flowers, Feathers and Fairies "Faun"

Hello Everyone!! How are you this fine Saturday morning? I'm so excited to share another Flowers, Feathers and Fairies digital stamp with you today!! Sabrina has been working so hard on getting some new images ready to release!! So stay tuned every couple of weeks for the next few months at least!! There are a bunch ready to go; the Design Team is just working hard to create some beautiful projects to show them off!!
But today... the awesome "Faun" is ready to go!! And I am soooo in love with him!! Did you read Chronicles of Narnia growing up? Its one of my all time favorite book series and this image screams "Mr Tumnus" to me!! Wanna meet him?!

How totally cool is he? Just something completely different!! And totally magical!!!
Now wanna see what I did with him?

I took the night scene lesson from my Kit and Clowder Elements of Nature class and created this magical night scene!! Most of the stories and legends and myths about fauns say that they have moonlight parties in the meadows where they play their flutes (recorders here in Canada) and dance the night away. I really wanted to create that kind of scene and feeling with this card and just bring this Faun to life!

I really think I created the magical feeling I was going for here with a touch of Narnian, old world distress. I love how this paper and sentiment just add the perfect touches to this Fauns musical evening!

I hope you love this image as much as I do! Its available right now!! Yes, right now!! It is going live in the Flowers, Feathers and Fairies Etsy shop right this second!! So go grab it and have some fun!!!

Faery Ink One Dae Fae!! Light up Faery House using 3 Little Birds Lahla and Dreaming Tree- Tea Light Haunted House

I really don't think I need to say more! LOL Look at her!! In that house! I must say this is one of my cooler ideas! LOL I have a bunch more pitcures to show you of all the shiny-ness!!
But first, this image is free today only!! Its the Faery Ink One Dae Fae!! So pop by the store and grab her while you can!!!
Ok now to show you more pretty!!!
See all that glitter!! What kind of Faery House doesn't have a glitter roof?

I don't think I missed showing you any detail did I?

Oh yes... the one big thing...
Since the 3 Little Birds Lahla is Bob Marley inspired I couldn't not pull the song into my project. That's why the house and the doorstep. But I had to have some way to explain it because I don't think most people would put all those things together and come up with one of my all time favorite songs. LOL So voila!! The yard sign!! Has the lyrics to the song!! I wish I had made it a little bigger but what do you do?

OOOOoooooo now do you want to see the BIG thing?? Eeeks!!!

It lights up!!! There are 4 tea lights on a stand in the back to make the windows glow!!

Now if you love this and want to make one I have to warn you... this is actually a Haunted House. Yup, seriously! Its a Haunted House. And I used different papers and cut some elements out to turn it into a Faery House!! The file I used to create my Faery House Dreaming Tree- Tea Light Haunted House. I hope you have as much fun with it as I did!!

Aurora Wings Challenge #43- Color Challenge; Altered Frame using The Green Fairy

Image may contain: text
Hello everyone!! Welcome to another Aurora Wings Challenge!! I feel like its been toooooo long since I got to work with my Aurora Wings images!! So let's start Team Stella's year off with a bang!! And the gorgeous "The Green Fairy"!!!

Isn't she just gorgeous!! I printed her quite little... only about 5" tall by 3.5" wide. She took a long time to color that small but I think the finished project is so worth it!! I used both my Skin and Hair and Elements of Nature classes from Kit and Clowder to help create all those fine details!

I grabbed this frame from Michaels specially because of the raised edges. I wanted there to be some interest away from the picture as well. Once I had her all colored up I took the glass out of the frame and used foam tape to pop all the matted layers up for a super 3D effect.

I altered the cardstocks to give them some glitter and shine and detail as well. The gold sheet I embossed with a home made Perfect Gold embossing powder using a damask stencil. The purple sheet I used a starbust stencil from Tim Holtz and a home made embossing powder made with teapot purple Magicals.

Then I made the larger flowers using the Dreaming Tree- Antique Tray flowers; misted a CTMH Gypsy paper that has an embossed design to create a resist effect; topped it off with the Tim Holtz distress ink for the edges. I misted some Prima flowers with a couple home made mists. I also used some Prima leaves misted with a Heidi Swapp chartreuse to get the right green and gold. And to top it off I colored some Tim Holtz enamel roses with Nuvo Crystal Drops lavendar to make them purple not white.

Ta-Da!! One very beautiful display of Aurora Wings "The Green Fairy"!!

Thanks so much for stopping in today! Make sure you pop by the Aurora Wings Challenge Blog and enter your beautiful creations!! See you all again real soon!!!

I am entering this frame in the World Wide Open Design Team Challenge.

Mixed Media Canvas's using Ching Chou Kuiks "Calling for Snow" and "Unicorn Love"

Hey You guys!!! My oldest is turning 6 in just 3 sleeps!!! How in the ....... did that happen??? She is all about the unicorns right now and has been since Christmas. We are having a unicorn theme birthday or as much as I can... really its My Little Pony highlighting the unicorn ponies... its the best I could do without making everything again this year. LOL
So with this new Unicorn love she wants to redecorate her room in.... yup... Unicorns. I haven't shown you yet so maybe I will pop it in down here at the bottom what I made her for Christmas that started the Unicorn redecorating. LOL but now after she opens these and has her party we are half way to the complete make over completed.
So now these canvas!!! OMG so much fun!! I used all different Tim Holtz distress mediums and techniques to create the backgrounds with various stencils. I did some embossing right on the canvas'. One one it worked great... on the other not so much. LOL but now that its all finished you can't even tell!!
So the "Twinkle Twinkle" night theme canvas uses Ching Chou Kuiks "Calling for Snow".
See how much fun is that!! I love how all those dark colors blended to create this really cool night sky/ galaxy type background. So color the image I used Kit and Clowders November 2016 Monthly Class techniques.

For the "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" day theme canvas I used Ching Chou Kuik's "Unicorn Love".
I love how bright and cheerful and dreamy this one came out!! All the colors just pop and blend to create this beautiful look into another world! So color the image I used Kit and Clowders 2015 Monthly class techniques- I took a few different classes and blended them all together.

I am entering these projects in the Ching Chou Kuik Challenge Blog for February "Love is All Around." I really think these qualify since they were made with soooo much love!! They will just envelope her room in it!! Also the love being shown in each image between girl and unicorn....

See you all again real soon to share the rest of my unicorn filled week!! Have a good one!!

Waterfall Valentines Day card using Flowers, Feathers and Fairies "Elf Huntress"

Hello everyone!! I have another new, super fun Flowers, Feathers and Fairies image to introduce to you all!! Meet Elf Huntress!! Isn't she amazing!! Sabrina has been working on her for a very long time and I am so excited that she is finally ready for us all to play with!!!
I am so in love with the detail on this Elf Huntress!! The shape of her bow and the flowers growing out of it just thrill me!! And she's so serious; she means business!! LOL

I used Elf Huntress to make my hubbies Valentines Day card. I'm sure he will be surprised its not his usual "riske" image LOL but I really think he's gonna like it!!
I used the CTMH "This Moment" stamp set for all the panels in the waterfall.

My cardstocks are also all CTMH but the pattern paper I made myself with a We R Memory Keeprs embossing folder and some homemade Emobssing powders.

To create the waterfall card I used THIS tutorial and modified it just a little to be the right size and shape for my project.

Please pop by the Flowers, Feathers, Fairies Facebook Group and see what the other Design Team members came up with for this weekends New Release!! We are all so excited!!
And then pop into the Etsy Store to grab the new Elf Huntress digital stamp from Flowers, Feathers and Fairies!!!
