More Frozen

A few years ago I started making my MIL an 8x8 album. For her bday she gets pages of anything since christmas, mothers day anything since her bday and then again at christmas. I think it works out great she gets the most pages at christmas... maybe.. I only scrapbook events that we as her decendants all attend.. of course that may be changing here soon with little people starting school soon... Gramma will need pics of everyones first day of school/concerts ect... And although they are in the states and missed the Frozen party what kinda of Grammas brag book wouldn't have those things? So here are her layouts... The pictures are ordered but I haven't made in into town to pick them up yet... You get the idea anyway...

I used the left over Bo Bunny Altitude cards from our layouts to do my MILs. I cut the snowflake border from the CTMH art philosophy cartridge and the back ground behind it is CTMH gypsy cardstock. The embellishments on the snowflakes are different CTMH gems and stickles dots, also some Bo Bunny liquid pearl dots. The "Frozen" I cut from one of the girls sticker pack labels and xyroned it on (hehe) I also stole thier Frozen stickers to decorate and then liquid glassed over them so they would pop alittle more. The title stickers are about a thousand year old CM alphabet stickers from back when I started scrapbooking and my mom was a rep and I thought I needed a pg of each color... Anyone need some?? I just can't bring myself to throw them out or let the girls play with them... But everyone once in awhile they have a purpose! LOL

And there you have what I hope is the end of the Frozen party!! My bestie Alex likes these simple layouts better than my dolled up ones in the scrapbooks... what do you think?

Peace on Earth

My friend, Wanda at Wanderful Creations was showing me her creation today for a challenge... I always love seeing what she comes up with!! I thought it might be fun and also a good idea to get started on those Christmas cards since I make about 100 a year... So I popped over to Merry Monday Christmas Challenge and started following. This weeks challenge #147 is stars... and I instantly thought of the nativity scene on the CTMH Artfully sent cartridge. And then I thought I would like to do the nativity scene in color not just black... so then I thought about my A Quilted Christmas cartridge and could I make the 2 nativity ideas work together... After conferring with Wanda, I decided to give it a try.. 3 hrs later...

So I ended up using... CTMH Art philosophy, Scandinavian Christmas, CTMH Artfully Sent, A quilted christmas, and New testament cartridges.
The paper is random CTMH cardstock and CTMH Yulestide. I also used gold stickles and CTMH gold sequins. I misted the background with Tim Holtz and the trees with Heidi Swapp. And I distressed the edge of the oval with CTMH ruby ink.

Jeez... sometimes I sound like a CTMH rep or something ey? lol

Happy Birthday card

So I had some time to work on some challenges today... Yes, I should have been all Bubble Guppies all the time, but sometimes you just gotta let the juices flow ya know?

So I made this birthday card for my step mom using the Cute Card Thursday Challenge #361, which I am apparently to late posting this evening... Dang it!! Lol

But here it is anyway...
I cut it with the CTMH Artfully sent cartridge and did some "hide and contour" editing in CCR to get the layers to work the way I wanted them to. The coral paper is CTMH Ivy Lane. The flowers are colored with copics on copic paper. I took a risk on that one... I wanted all the layers to stick together really well on the black outlines so a ran each layer through my Xyron and then used my CTMH rub and remove eraser to remove all the adhesive from the coral and more importantly the copic paper pre-coloring. It took awhile and some determination but I got it all except in those tiny corners. The sentiment is cut with CTMH Art philosphy, stamped with CTMH black and sorbet inks and then I glazed over the center circle with CTMH liquid glass to give it a bubble effect. I also added some CTMH aqua dots, sparkle dots and a gold sequin. The blue sequins are just dollar store sequins... kinda loving those!

And there's that one...

B-B-B-Bubble G-G-G-Guppies... so it begins...

The Bubble guppies party prep is in full swing.. and here's a sneak peak for you..

I got my CTMH Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge today!!

And quite conveniently my Auntie turns 50 this weekend meaning... I need to make a card!! I hate when that happens!! LOL
So I created 2 just to try out a couple different styles and the new stamp set I ordered half just for her birthday and half cuz its cuuute!

For this card I used the Artfully Sent Cartridge, obviously!!, CTMH Snowhaven paper, Recollecctions black glitter paper, Stickles and just some Recollection sequins. I stamped the bear on copic paper, colored him with copics and then fussy cut him out. I may still put liquid glass over the happy birthday just to help it pop alittle but we'll see.

I'm entering this card in the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #245

This card I cut on white cardstock also from the Artfully Sent cartridge; backed it in red, then put red stickles over the parts I knew would be seen, I cut the oval on copic paper so I wouldn't have to fussy cut again, stamped and colored. I pop dotted the oval up. I stamped the snowflakes around the corners and put some little dots of stickles there as well. The sentiment is CTMH and stamped in CMTH Glacier ink, as are the snowflakes. Ooo, I also used Peacock distress ink around the oval and edges of the card.

I wish I could take complete credit for either card but as always I had Pinterest inspiration!! And alittle help from my Wanda girl!!

I have way more new toys to put away and play with now!! Catch ya later!!

I can"t believe I forgot to post this...

Back in January I helped host a baby shower. The momma wanted to do something for a name reveal.. I came up with an exploding box idea... Here's the pics!!

The top of the box..

The 4 outside sides..

And when you open it up, fold it down and place it back in the lid... There's a banner for babies name!!

I used CTMH Dream Pop paper, CTMH Bakers Twine, and Tim Holtz Hair Pins.

Hope you like it!!

Frozen Scrapbook layouts

So now that the party is over its time to Immortalize the party in all of our scrapbooks. I create 3 layouts for everything, 1 for each of our books. The Frozen layouts are all basically the same just minor changes but those minor changes make the layouts each look very different. Take a look and you tell me!!

The first set of layouts and embelishments are for the birthday girls scrapbook. It took hours to cut and lay everything out and texting pics back and forth to my ever faithful "assistant", but I think we nailed it!! My general rule is that if its for the oldests book 99% of the pictures are of the oldest.

I chose to add the pocket pages because I am going to be moving my scrapbooking in that direction for the year but there will still be standard pages mixed in so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to mix the 2 styles together and get just that little extra space for memories. I love the Kraft insert with all of the information about her on it!! It was in a set I bought at Michaels and I just happened across it the other day and felt it was perfect for her birthday!!

The empty space will be filled with another homemade card, just as soon as I hook up with my "Assistant". LOL

This is the little sisters layout so I made sure to add lots of pictures of her taken during the party as well as the birthday girl. And you can see that the papers and embellishments are just a little different.

And now for my pages for my album. I try to balance the pictures between the 2 kids, but since its the oldests party...

I used Bo Bunny Altitude papers, Bazzil basics cardstock, Recollections sparkle paper, CTMH silver shimmer trim, feathers, CTMH aqua dots, CTMH glitter gems, CTMH Artbooking cricut cartridge and Pink Journey cricut cartridge, Bo Bunny liquid pearl, and Stickles.

So how did I do? Did I manage to make them Frozen without having the Frozen cartridge or stickers or anything really? Lol

Happy Crafting!!!

Frozen Birthday Party

We did it!! We completed my oldests Frozen 4th Birthday Party yesterday and it was a complete success!!!
The invitation.. Elsa was colored with copics by yours truely.
Her birthday card.. again Anna and Elsa were colored with copics by yours truely.
The door sign.. Cut with my cricut and various cartridges including Dreams Come True (I think is what its called) and I used some of thier stickers to put the characters on.
The pinata we bought, I thought about making one and then thought I was crazy!! The party favors were little frozen coloring sets I bought at Michaels for $1 a peice and then put snowflakes with each childs name on it. The girls colored and painted and decorated snowflakes cut on the cricut and then we sticky tacked them all over the house.
The snowflakes and letters we cut on the cricut. I cut Anna and Elsa from wrapping paper. We used a lot of stickles and bo bunny liquid pearl. The bakers twine is CTMH and I bought the cloths pins and Micheals and then put stickles them.

I cut the snowflakes and 4 on the cricut. I used cookie sticks and wrapped them in snowflake washi tape. I grabbed a vase from the cupboard and wrapped it in snowflake washi tape too. The ribbon I had at home and I bought the rocks at the dollar store.
We played "Pin the nose on Olaf" with an Olaf my girlfriend and I created with different shapes in the cricut craftroom. I loved his own personal flurry!!! We cut noses for each child with thier name on it.

We built snowmen out of different sized marshmellows, pretzel sticks, currents and papaya peices!! The kids promptly ate after creating! LOL!

I bought the different sized bowls at the dollar store. We also bought plates, napkins, cups, cupcake wrappers and sticks. I used different snowflake dishes that we have from christmas to put food out in.
For food we had: Snowflake squares, ombre rice krispy squares, chips, pretzel sticks, bits and bites mix, trail mix, meat, cheese, crackers, meat balls, and popcorn.
I'm sorry this is upside down!! I'm not sure how to change that...  It took me 4 tries to get it right!!! This is actually the Ariel cake pan. I cut a peice off and used the Ariel design as more of a guide line. I iced in my own lines for the hair and dress. And here we have it! An Elsa cake!!
And last but not least the Frozen canvas I made for her wall in her room. A lady off one of my FB groups was kind enough to cut and mail me up the "Sisters Forever" off the Frozen digital cartridge. I used a napkin to put Anna and Elsa on and then glazed over them. Some of the snowflakes are put on using a stencil and modeling paste. I used some of the snowflake washi tape on the edges. I also put heat duct tape through my cuttlebug with a snowflake embossing folder and then applied it around the edges. There are some snowflake buttons (left over from the Frozen pjs) scattered around as well and then covered with the bo bunny liquid pearl. I also cut some snowflakes on the cricut. There is a ton of stickles on there too!!!

And there you have our frozen birthday party!! My hand still hurts from all the stickles, liquid glass and icing squeezing but I think my little one loved each and every little peice!!!!

Now, to make the Frozen layouts for each scrapbook.... Oh and get started on DIY Bubble Guppies Birthday Party... If you have any ideas please share!!!!!

Talk to you soon!!!
