Batman Birthday!!

My besties little man turned 4 over the weekend and I had entirely too much fun getting his gift and card all made for him!!

That's his card! HEHEHE I love it so much and so did he I think!!
I used:
Kit and Clowder Background Class that came with the August Create and Learn
Planting schoolbooks, Art Philosophy, Cricut Alphabet, Best of Pixar and Cricut fonts and basic shapes cartridges
I found the characters in different on line coloring books and then cropped them and cleaned them up in Cricut Design Space.
Copics: There are about a 100 used lol and I have the list if anyone is interested please let me know!! But I just can't bring myself to type the entire 1/2pg list lol

And this is part of his present!! I borrowed Wanda's DC Comics Batman cartridge to cut a template and went from there. He seemed to love his pillow and adore the fact that it has its own cape!!!

Around the World Bridal Shower

My Auntie is getting married in a few weeks and my mom and family are planning her an "Around the World" Bridal Shower. I was given Russia...
My Auntie LOVES polar bears so after a little research to confirm that polar bears do in fact live in Russia this is what I came up with. I had a ton of help from my bestie Wanda, hubby, my sister, my mom, my teacher at Kit and Clowder. We figured out the right digis and placement and colors and and and they rocked helping. Mrs Wanda spent hours on the phone listening to me try and piece all my ideas together!!!
And here it is:

Materials used:
Kit and Clowder- Animals Class- Polar Bear Lesson
Copics:
Glacier: BG09, BG05, Bg01, BG000
Snow: C1, C3, C5, BG72
Polar Bears: E43, E53, E50, W3, W5
Boy Clothes: B39,B37,B34
Girl Clothes: R29,R27, R24

I did a little research on Russian Polar Bears and put a little blurb in a snowflake on the back of the picture frame for her.

And for her card I took the Ice Princess I had colored and turned her into a card front:
I know the one snowflake cut really poorly but what can ya do?
Materials:
Frame, Snowflakes and Trees are from the Disney Frozen cricut cartridge
I created some gold rings (Russian wedding symbol) and translated congratulations into Russian as the sentiment.

I also had to find a Russian recipe and some Russian wedding traditions. I did create a little card for the traditions but ran out of time for the recipe so it just got printed off of pinterest. LOL

I hope she loves it!! It was soo much work but I had so much fun making it all and I learned sooooo much!

I am entering the Polar Bears in these challenges:
Tiddly Inks Challenge: Have Heart-- What could be "Having Heart" more than 2 bears and 2 humans walking forth into the world together? I mean there's a lot of love in there... seriosuly!! For polar bears to let humans ride them!! Hehe

Aurora Wings- New Beginnings, Miyabi, Heartstrings, and Along Came a Spider

As soon as I was introduced to Aurora Wings digis I fell immediately in love with these images!! There is something about oriental mythology and symbolism that really inspires me. I already have 1 peice in my scrapbooking room but she's a printed wrapped canvas that was bought for me many years ago. But I love her and was not willing to part with her when we moved out to the acreage and so here she lives where I can see her all the time and now she has friends!!
I colored all these ladies to coordinate with my existing art. I tried to keep the colors as realistic as possible as well and also to match any of the symbolism the artist meant there to be when she drew them. I hope I have done them all justice!!
Now they sit framed and waiting for hubby to come home and hang them!!! LOL
Aurora Wings- Heartstring

Aurora Wings- Along Came a Spider (No skull version)

Aurora Wings- New Beginnings

And this last one you have already seen but I thought she should be added to the collection!

Aurora Wings- Miyabi (Full version)

All ready for hubby!

I promise to post an updated picture when they are all on the wall together with my other piece!!

See you again soon!!
