Aurora Wings Challenge Blog Second Birthday!!

Hello There!!! Welcome to another post for the Aurora Wings Challenge Blog!! This weekend we have a special event for you!!! We are celebrating the Challenge Blogs 2nd Birthday with a "Slow Loris Rescue Fundraiser"!! Aren't these little critters simple adorable!! Go do some research and you will learn they are the coolest mammals ever!!

My Moms husband is turning 60 in a few weeks so I decided to use this image for his birthday card. And hubby and I had a really good time coming up with a concept for this card! We did our research on a 4 hour drive to a family getaway in the mountains while the girls colored in the backseat-- god bless technology!! We can research and drive at the same time! LOL

Here is what we came up with:

The Slow Loris Sprite all colored up:

This sentiment felt just perfect for both my Moms husband and suiting to this little Slow Loris Sprite!

I love all the layers on this card!! 4 total... But let me tell you cutting up the foam tape into tiny little leaf size peices was not my favorite task in the world but I'm so glad I did because I am so thrilled with the outcome!!

Materials used:
Aurora Wings Slow Loris Sprite- available only here as a Gift with donation only
CTMH Chocolate and Topiary cardstock
Random background paper from my stash
Create a Critter Cricut cartridge
And copics so many copics LOL- I used the colors recommended in my class for the background so if you would like to more go take and peak! And I used the E11-19 range and W1-5 range for coloring the Slow Loris fur.

So there you have it!! If you want to learn more about the fundraiser go HERE! To skip right to donating and getting your adorable Slow Loris Sprite digi go HERE!

Can't wait to see what everyone makes with this little digi!! Make sure you pop into our Facebook Group once you have it created too-- we have a coloring/crafting contest happening there too!!

  5. Great natural habitat you created there for the Slow Loris Sprite, Sara! I love how complete and dimensional it is - well worth the tedious work of cutting foam tape. The sentiment is perferfect for a birthday card! Thank you for your beautiful sample for the fundraiser showcase in support of slow lorises. Mitzi xxx
